{back to the studio...}

We went back to the pottery studio that I talk about a lot! (here)
It was so much fun (as usual) and this time I am just so extrememly proud and happy of how my piece turned out! Usually I finish it and I have a few regrets about what I did or I second guess patterns or color choices. But not this time!
I don't have my piece back yet & we wont' be able to pick it up until August 3rd, but I did take some pictures while we were there and I wanted to share them with you since my bestest & sweetest friend reminded me of how long it had been since I had posted! Thanks! ;)

But I thought you might like these pictures of the sky!
I didn't even edit these....I just put my signature on them and posted them!
Our God is an amazing creator!

{Meet Melvin}

My brother and his wife came over last night and surprised us with their new little puppy! We were all instantly in love with him and it's not hard to see why! Just look at that face! He is such a sweet puppy, he is already playful, but he definitely loves to snuggle!
They couldn't decide what to name him so I got online and red off some names from a list and one of them was Melvin! And that's the name they chose for him, Mel for short! It's a pretty hilarious name but it kinda fits! :)
As you can see I was snapping so many pictures last night of my little "nephew pup"!

Jack doesn't know what to think of this little puppy, but last night he acted like this little addition was his toy! :)

He was snuggled up to his mommy in this picture and he could not get close enough!

He loves his daddy already!

Abi wasn't sure either.....and poor Melvin was terrified of both of them!
Here's a little glimpse of spunky little Mel!

{Pig Pickin'}

Ok so as I promised here are some pictures from our church picnic, but I do have to apologize and say I was bad. The day of the picnic I had high hopes of getting a lot of pictures of the activity and the people but I ended up with only a very few pictures.....like maybe ten and out of the ten these three are the only ones that I really like! :) Yeah, I got a little distracted, me and my friend were acting a little crazy and having a little too much fun!
BUT.......this coming week is our church's VBS and I volunteered to be one of the photographers so I will have some pictures from that hopefully!!

{High school}

Here's a big group of pictures of the High School Building I have been showing you. As well as the "armory" that my grandfather was telling me they always used to have their Jr./Sr. It was a lot of fun to hear him reminisce, and it kind of made me want to live back in the 50's!! :)

{gazebo}

I think I have one more picture of my grandfather's highschool to show you after this one. There is something so simple & sweet about a gazebo. I have always wanted one & I thought this one was pretty special.
I am hoping to have some more cool pictures coming soon. Today is our church "Pig Pickin' ", basically a day filled with fellowship, activities & of course barbeque! :)
But anyways, I have declared myself the photographer of the day so I am hoping to capture some of the fun!

See you soon! :)

{thy word is a lamp...}

{Another cool sight at my grandfather's high school!}

"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path."

{sit a spell.....}

There was something about this park bench that looked so inviting. We took a trip to my Grandfather's hometown & his old high school, which I enjoyed so much. I think he enjoyed showing us all around, and I couldn't be happier because of the opportunity to take so many great pictures.
More pictures are on the way.........
